State of earthquakes review
La testimonianza è di Livio (1), storico del I secolo a.C., che ricorda un terremoto a Roma. Livio fu ripreso da Ossequente (2), autore tardo (circa IV-V secolo d.C.). Questo terremoto è noto alla tradizione dei cataloghi sismici a partire dal XVII secolo.

Major earthquake effects
Il terremoto fu sentito molto sensibilmente a Roma: la scossa causò lo spostamento delle teste delle statue adagiate sui letti (per la cerimonia religiosa del lettisternio) e la caduta di un piatto (1). È attestato un solo effetto di tipo sociale: insieme ad altri prodigi, il terremoto spinse i Romani a rinnovare la celebrazione dei ludi che si tenevano annualmente in settembre (2).
