Original bulletins of the International Seismological Summary (ISS) from 1918 to 1939 have been obtained thanks to funding provided by the US National Science Foundation through grant EAR-9725140 (Villaseñor et al., 1997) and have been scanned and collected by   SGA Storia Geofisica Ambiente (Bologna) thanks to funding provided by the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (Rome), in the frame of Euroseismos project.

The scanned images of the bulletins of the International Seismological Summary (ISS) from 1940 to 1963 have been obtained as part of a global earthquake relocation project (Villaseñor et al., 1997) initiated with funding from the US National Science Foundation through grant EAR-9725140 and collected by SGA Storia Geofisica Ambiente (Bologna) on behalf of the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (Rome), in the frame of Euroseismos project.

A digital hypocenter file of the ISS (Villaseñor and Engdahl, 2005) can be obtained from the USGS web site: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/research/data/iss_summ.php
